Air Fryer Lasagna

Air Fryer Lasagna

This lasagna is a perfect weeknight meal that comes together in no time! With its layers of ricotta, mozzarella, and tasty Italian sausage, it’s sure to become a family favorite. Plus, with the help of your air fryer you’ll get all the flavor of traditional lasagna without having to spend hours in the kitchen.

Ingredients:

Air Fryer Lasagna ingredients
  • 1 pound beef mince
  • 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 2 (25 ounce) jars prepared marinara sauce
  • 8 fresh lasagna noodles

Instructions:

Preheat the air fryer on 400F.

In a oven proof dish, place the beef mince in and cook for 3 minutes on 400F.

Mince with spices on top ready to be cooked

Take the mince out from the air fryer. It will be 80% cooked. The rest of the cooking will be down in the next cooking step. 

Tip the meat liquid in the sink and place the mince in a mixing bowl with the marinara sauce (2 cups), salt, pepper, garlic powder and dried basil. Mix together.

Using the same oven proof dish that you cooked the mince in, pour 1 cup of marinara sauce into it and spread it around evenly.

Place two lasagna noodles onto the sauce in your basket and top with ¼ cup of the ricotta and ¼ of the meat mixture. Sprinkle with ½ cup mozzarella cheese over the mixture.

Top with another layer of lasagna noodles followed by another ¼ cup of the ricotta, ¼ of the meat mixture and another ½ cup of mozzarella cheese.

Add one more layer of lasagna noodles and top with remaining ricotta cheese, remaining meat mixture, remaining mozzarella cheese.

Set air fryer to 360°F, place foil on top and cook for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove the foil and cook on 400F for 5 minutes.

Let cool slightly before serving.

Recipe Tips:

You can customize this lasagna recipe to your own preference by adding different ingredients like roasted vegetables, ground chicken, or even vegan cheese. If you prefer a creamier texture, you can also add some cream cheese to the ricotta mixture. Feel free to experiment with different flavor combinations!

You can also use regular un-cooked lasagna noodles. Just make sure that they are cooked through and don’t have any uncooked areas before consuming.

To freeze leftovers for later, let the lasagna cool completely then wrap it in plastic wrap and place it into a freezer-safe bag or container and store it in the freezer for up to 3 months. To reheat, just place it in the air fryer and cook until heated through.
