- 1 Salmon sushi (store bought) (roughly 5 inches)
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- ¾ cup Sparklingly water
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 3 cups Vegetable oil for frying
- Pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce, for serving (Optional)
To make the tempura batter, combine the flour, salt and sparkling water in a bowl and whisk until smooth.
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add enough oil to coat the bottom.
Dip each piece of salmon sushi into the tempura batter, making sure to coat evenly.
Carefully place the salmon sushi in the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until crispy and golden brown.
Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil.
Serve with pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce on the side for dipping. Enjoy!
