Materials

  • 1 cup All purpose flour
  • 1 cup Table salt
  • ½ cup Water

Instructions

  • Add the water and stir until the dough comes together. If it's too sticky, add more flour; if it's too dry, add more water.
  • Knead the dough for a few minutes until it's smooth.
  • If you're adding color to your ornaments, divide the dough into as many parts as you want and knead in the food coloring until desired color is reached.
  • Roll out the dough to ¼ inch thickness and use cookie cutters to cut out shapes.
  • Place a hole (with a straw) in the top of each one before cooking.
  • Remove the tray layer from your air fryer base.
  • Place the shapes in the air fryer base and cook at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes, or until the ornaments are firm and lightly browned.
  • Remove from the air fryer and let cool completely before handling. Store in an airtight container.
  • Decorate as you please the thread a piece of string through the hole and tie a knot.
