Air Fryer Pork Belly
Pork belly is a favourite among many but it's not always the healthiest option. That's why I was so excited to try using an air fryer to cook it. The pork belly turned out crispy on the outside and so tender and juicy on the inside. Plus, it didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would. ¼ cup Korean BBQ sauce 17 oz Pork belly ½ tsp Salt ½ tsp Chilli flakes ¼ tsp Garlic powder 2 tbsp Sesame oil 1 tbsp Gochujang paste 2 tbsp Honey 1 tbsp Soy sauce
Slice the pork belly into 1-inch thick slices.
In a small bowl, mix together the salt, chilli flakes , garlic powder, and sesame oil. Rub the mixture all over the pork belly slices.
Place the pork belly slices in the air fryer and cook at 380 degrees F for 7 minutes.
In a small saucepan, mix the BBQ sauce, gochujang paste, honey, and soy sauce. Cook over low heat until the sauce is heated through.
Remove the pork belly from the air fryer and brush with the BBQ sauce.
Place the pork belly back in the air fryer and cook for an additional 3 minutes at 400 degrees F.
Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes the it is ready to be served! Enjoy!
