Egyption Rose Cookies
What could be more enticing than a plate of freshly baked cookies, studded with juicy raisins and fragrant with sweet spices? These Egyption Rose Cookies are a real treat, and they're easy to make too!

- 7 oz Unsalted butter
- 7 oz White granulated sugar
- 1 Egg (Medium)
- ½ tsp Vanilla extract
- 10.5 oz All purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Rose Water
- ¼ cup Rose sugar
Preheat oven to 350F (180C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until everything is well combined.
Roll the dough into small balls the flatten it. Sprinkle on the rose sugar.
Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until they are lightly golden brown and set.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
