Air Fryer Tempeh

Ingredients
  

  • 7 oz Tempeh (fresh)
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 0.2 oz Fresh ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon Sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Honey (agave nectar for vegan alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seed oil
  • 1 tablespoon Rice wine vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Begin the recipe by slicing the tempeh into thin, even strips (½ inch thick).
  • Steam the tempeh for 10 minutes using a double boiler method.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Into a mixing bowl place; minced garlic, minced ginger, salt, soy sauce, honey, sesame seed oil and rice wine vinegar. Mix together.
  • Coat the steamed tempeh in the marinade.
  • Get the marinated tempeh strips and place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes, flipping halfway at 5 minutes.
  • Take out of the air fryer basket and serve immediately.
