How long to bake potatoes at 375 in foil

Baking potatoes at 375 degrees in foil is an excellent way to get that soft and delicious potato flavor we all know and love. It doesn't take a lot of time either. The bonus is there is hardly no clean up too - as everything is contained in the foil!

Ingredients

  • 2 Potatoes
  • Salt and pepper (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Scrub the potato to remove any dirt or debris, then dry it off with a kitchen towel.
  • Cut out two square pieces of foil that are large enough to wrap the potato in, plus one inch extra for overlap. Place the potato on one piece of foil and season with salt and pepper, if desired.
  • Place the second piece of foil over the top of the potato, then wrap it up tightly so that no steam can escape while baking. Make sure there are no gaps in the wrapping so you get a nice even bake.
  • Place the wrapped potato on a baking sheet and place it in the oven.
  • Bake the potato for 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on its size. You can test for doneness by lightly squeezing it with an oven mitt (it should feel tender). If not done, continue baking in 15-minute increments until ready.
  • Once done, remove from oven and let cool before unwrapping and serving.
