Tesco has confirmed that its popular free fruit scheme will return once again, allowing children to pick up free apples while shopping with their families.
According to Tesco, from 30 December 2025 until 13 January 2026, children will be able to take a free apple at checkouts in over 800 large Tesco stores across the UK. The initiative also includes Click & Collect customers, with free apples available for children in 119 large stores.
The apples provided will be British-grown, sourced from six UK suppliers, and form part of Tesco’s wider commitment to helping families access healthier food options and encourage children to enjoy more fruit.
As always, availability may vary by store, but shoppers are encouraged to look out for the free fruit baskets near checkouts during the promotional period.
