Shoppers are being urged to keep an eye out for a huge onion price drop, with reports of onions falling to just 5p per kilogram in some Morrisons stores.
Screenshots shared online show Scottish onions reduced from 99p to 5p per kg when scanned with a More Card, with a maximum of six bags per customer reportedly in place. That means shoppers could pick up 6kg of onions for just 30p, making this one of the cheapest fresh food deals spotted this season.
The deal appears to be store-specific and time-limited, with some shoppers confirming they saw the reduction in Morrisons, while others said it wasn’t available in their local store. Meanwhile, similar reports suggest onions have also been spotted down to 15p per kg in Tesco, though availability varies widely.
As with all clearance and reduced-to-clear pricing, shoppers are advised to check in store, as prices may not show online and stock levels differ by location.
