Shoppers at Marks & Spencer Food have spotted a reduction on Wild Pacific Keta Salmon Fillets, with packs marked down in-store ahead of their use-by date.
The two-pack of skin-on, boneless Keta salmon fillets was originally priced at £5.25 but has been reduced to £3.83. The yellow reduction label indicates the offer is part of M&S’s usual short-dated markdowns, which vary by store and availability.
Keta salmon, also known as chum salmon, is a wild Pacific variety known for its firm texture and milder flavour compared to Atlantic salmon. According to the packaging, the fillets are sourced from the icy waters of the North Pacific and are high in omega-3, as well as a source of vitamin D. The product is also labelled as freezable, making it suitable for shoppers looking to stock up for later use.
The reduced packs carry a use-by date of 5 January 2026, giving buyers several days to either cook the fish fresh or freeze it at home. As with all yellow-sticker reductions, availability is not guaranteed and depends on individual store stock levels, timing, and local demand.
Many shoppers look out for M&S reductions in the late afternoon or evening, when short-dated fresh items such as meat, fish, and ready meals are more likely to be marked down. Prices can vary between locations, and further reductions may sometimes be applied closer to closing time.
For those planning simple meals in early January, salmon fillets like these can be used in a range of dishes, from oven-baked fillets with vegetables to flaked salmon in salads, rice bowls, or pasta. Freezing on the day of purchase can help extend their shelf life while maintaining quality.
As always, shoppers are advised to check packaging carefully, follow storage instructions, and freeze promptly if not using immediately. Reduced items are typically sold on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved.
