Monday Reminder: 50% Off Groceries on Uber Eats

If you haven’t checked your Uber Eats grocery section on a Monday recently, this is your reminder to do it now — because some shoppers are quietly snapping up 50% off groceries without using a single code.

Every Monday, Uber Eats runs rotating supermarket discounts through its Fresh Mondays scheme. When it’s live, the discount applies automatically in the app, meaning there’s nothing to enter at checkout. If your local store is taking part, you’ll see the savings instantly when browsing.

Superstores including Asda, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Iceland have all taken part in the past, with offers changing week to week depending on location and availability.

What’s actually 50% off?

From recent examples spotted in the app, shoppers have found deals like:

• Bananas reduced from £1.20 to 60p

• Free-range eggs down from £1.80 to £1.35

• Carrots (1kg) reduced from 85p to 42p

• Milk slashed from £2.20 to £1.65

• Mixed peppers cut from £2.50 to £1.25

• Cucumbers reduced from £1.75 to 88p

The discounts tend to focus on fruit, vegetables, and everyday essentials, making it particularly useful if you’re restocking basics rather than doing a big branded shop.

Shoppers are saving big

One shopper recently showed off a 37-item grocery haul for just £19, while another posted in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group saying:

“50% off fruit and veg from Iceland on Uber Eats — should’ve been £65.72, got it for £38.02.”

If your store is running the offer, it will show automatically in the supermarket list. Some users may also see a £15 off banner at the bottom of the app, which stacks separately depending on eligibility.

Top tip

These deals don’t always last all day, and not every store participates every week. Checking early on a Monday gives you the best chance of catching the full range before items sell out.

If you haven’t tapped the grocery tab on Uber Eats in a while, Mondays might be worth a second look!
