Instant Pot Spaghetti is a easy and delicious meal that the whole family will love. This dish can be made in under an hour, and it is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters.

The Instant Pot makes it possible to cook spaghetti and mince all in one pot, which cuts down on cleanup time. And, because the Instant Pot cooks food so quickly, you can have this meal on the table in no time at all!

Instant Pot Spaghetti

Ingredients

Instant Pot Spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon dried basil
  • 24 ounces passata
  • 1 ½ cup chicken broth
  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes

Optional ingredients:

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley

Instructions:

1. Begin the recipe by dicing the onion. Then, add the ground beef, onion, salt, black pepper, oregano, thyme, and basil to the Instant Pot.

2. Cook on the “meat/stew” setting for 5 minutes, or until the beef is browned.

3. Add the passata and chicken broth to the pot. Stir well.

4. Break the spaghetti in half and add it to the pot. Do not stir.

5. Place the lid on the Instant Pot and seal it shut. Cook on high pressure for 6 minutes.

6. When the timer goes off, use the quick release function to release the pressure from the pot.

7. Remove the lid and stir the spaghetti. It will be cooked through.

8. Add the cherry tomatoes and Parmesan cheese (if desired) and stir.

Recipe Tips

If you are not using the Parmesan cheese, you may want to add a little more salt to the recipe.

If you prefer a thinner sauce, add an additional ½ cup of chicken broth to the recipe.

This dish can also be made in the slow cooker. Simply follow steps 1-3 and then cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. Add the cherry tomatoes during the last 30 minutes of cooking.

If you are short on time, you can use pre-cooked frozen meatballs in this recipe. Simply add them to the Instant Pot along with the rest of the ingredients and cook as directed.
