On the blog today, we’re making air fryer bacon-wrapped hotdogs! These are delicious and so easy to make. Hotdogs are everyone favourite summer BBQ food, and for good reason. They’re delicious, easy to eat, and can be cooked in a variety of ways.
One of our favourite ways to cook hotdogs is by wrapping them in bacon and then cooking them in the air fryer. The bacon gets nice and crispy while the hotdog stays juicy and flavourful. It’s the perfect combination!
Wrap your hotdog in one or two pieces of bacon, depending on how big your hotdog is. Then, lay the wrapped hotdog on a wire rack that’s been placed inside of a baking dish. This allows the hotdog to cook evenly on all sides and ensures that the bacon gets nice and crispy.
Cook the hotdogs in the air fryer at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 minutes, or until the bacon is cooked to your liking. Serve immediately with your favourite toppings.
Ingredients:
-1 package of hotdogs: I used beef hotdogs, but you can use whatever kind you like
-1 package of bacon: I used regular pork bacon, but you can use turkey or vegetarian bacon as well
-Toppings of your choice: I used ketchup and mustard, but feel free to get creative!
Instructions:
First, start by wrapping each hot dog in a piece of bacon. You can use as much or as little bacon as you like, depending on how crispy you want it to be. We usually use about 1-2 slices per hot dog.
Next, place the bacon-wrapped hotdogs in the air fryer basket and cook at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 minutes, or until the bacon is cooked to your liking.
Serve with your favourite toppings and enjoy!
