5 Costco Bulk Buys That Cut My Grocery Spending by £120

I’ve always been keen on finding ways to save money on groceries without compromising on quality. Shopping at Costco has become a bit of a game changer for me. Buying in bulk means fewer trips to the store and less wasting food that goes past its sell-by date.

By choosing the right bulk buys, I managed to cut my grocery spending by £120. It’s not just about buying loads of stuff; it’s about picking items that offer real value and last a long time. In this article, I’ll share the five products that helped me do just that.

Kirkland Signature Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2L

I started buying the Kirkland Signature Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the big 2-litre bottle from Costco. It’s smooth and mild, which makes it perfect for pretty much everything I cook.

The price for that much oil is a steal compared to smaller bottles at regular shops. Plus, it’s organic and first cold pressed, so I feel good using it daily without worrying about quality.

If you’re into cooking or just drizzling olive oil on salads, this bulk buy really cuts down trips to the shops.

Tilda Basmati Rice 5kg

Tilda Basmati Rice in the 5kg size is a staple in my kitchen. It’s long-grain and aromatic, perfect for all my meals without needing to buy small packs often. Buying in bulk from places like ASDA or directly from Tilda saves me both time and money.

I find it cooks well every time, making it easy to prepare meals for the week ahead. If you use rice a lot, getting a 5kg bag is definitely worth it. You can even get free delivery on some orders, which is handy.

Check it out at ASDA Groceries.

Heinz Baked Beans Multipack

One of my favourite bulk buys at Costco has to be the Heinz Baked Beans multipack. Getting 24 cans for around £18 makes it way cheaper than buying them individually.

They’re high in protein, low in fat, and super versatile for quick meals. Having a stash at home means I never run out for breakfast or snacks. You can find deals like this at Costco UK.

Quaker Oats 2.5kg

I picked up the Quaker Oats 2.5kg pack from Costco to save some cash while keeping breakfast healthy. It’s 100% wholegrain oats with no added sugar, which works perfectly for overnight oats or a quick porridge.

The big pack means I don’t have to rush back to buy more. Plus, cooking time is super fast—about 1.5 minutes. You can find these oats in bulk at Costco UK.

Kirkland Signature Frozen Chicken Breasts 3kg

I grabbed the Kirkland Signature Frozen Chicken Breasts in a 3kg bag, and it’s been a lifesaver for meal prep. The breasts are individually frozen, so I can take out exactly what I need without thawing the whole lot.

They’re good quality and lean, which fits well with my cooking style. At around £2.92 per kilo, they’re a solid deal that helps me save compared to buying fresh. You can find more details on the Costco Kirkland Signature Frozen Chicken Breasts.
